Duration: 4 hours (2 hours per day on September 15th and 22nd)
Overview: This workshop aims to immerse participants in the world of mural artistry, focusing on artistic wooden chair painting. Attendees will gain a comprehensive understanding of the techniques involved in planning and executing captivating mural designs.
Day 1 – Foundations and Techniques:
On the first day, participants will delve into the foundational aspects of mural art. Essential materials, tools, insights, and techniques used in mural creation will be thoroughly discussed. The content will encompass the planning of a digital art that can then be translated into real-world applications.
Day 2 – Application and Creation:
The second session builds upon the knowledge acquired in the initial encounter. Participants will have the opportunity to translate theory into practice by engaging in the hands-on painting of wooden chairs. By actively applying the techniques learned, attendees will gain practical experience in bringing their artistic visions to life. At the end of the workshop, participants can proudly take their painted chairs home with them.
This workshop is an inclusive opportunity for both beginners and art enthusiasts to engage with the art form and expand their creative horizons.

– acrylic paints, Posca markers, Spray Paints, brushes, watercolour pencils
– Tablets with ProCreate app installed (optional)

About the Artist:
Fernanda Salla, originally from Brazil, now calls Prince George her home. She’s a passionate artist with a diverse range of techniques, from oil painting to watercolors and colored pencil drawings. Her journey began at Escola Panamericana de Arte in Brazil, sparking her love for art. Fernanda’s art has graced various mediums, including commissioned jewelry designs, magazine illustrations, acrylic paintings, and murals. She’s engaged in workshops, expanding her horizons alongside fellow artists. Notably, her murals adorn the Hart Family Veterinary Clinic and UNBC Childcare Center in Prince George.
