Members of the Prince George RCMP will be on hand this Wednesday to talk with the public about policing in the city over a cup of coffee.
The event is part of a Canada-wide National Coffee with a Cop Day.
“This is an opportunity for those who may have questions about policing to sit with a police officer and have an informal conversation,” said Cpl. Jennifer Cooper. “It’s a unique way to meet with the community and get to know people better, outside of the typical situations that often bring law enforcement and community members together.”
They will be at the Open Door Café, 6075 Monterey Road in the Hart from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. and at Zoe’s Java House, 1259 4th Avenue downtown, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.
“We hope to run these events quarterly, utilizing interested coffee shops and cafes in a variety of locations throughout Prince George,” Cooper added.
